Ganni Bluebell overalls (size 38) | purchased with credits at Garmentory
Entireworld recycled cotton tee (size small) | The brand sent me the large a couple months ago and I ordered the small recently myself because I love this tee so much…
Melissa X Baja East plastic slides (sold out) | similar pair on sale
I have been missing my Ulla Johnson overalls all summer (I sold them because they were too big) and was sort of looking for a replacement pair, but not very actively. Then I saw this editorial at Totokaelo, and immediately sought the exact overalls Simone is wearing (they didn’t have them for sale at Totokaelo when the editorial came out) and found them on sale at Garmentory.
I also ordered the white Dansko clogs BTW (they haven’t arrived yet, or I’d be wearing them!). I wore Dansko clogs pretty regularly until I discovered No6, but I always found them incredibly comfortable and super-versatile in a no-nonsense way. And I mean, they also look SO cool and modern the way Simone is wearing them with her overalls. We’re bringing Dansko back. LOL
I did already cut these to make the inseam shorter, and I will have to shorten the shoulder straps a bit so they’re not SO slouchy on me. Or at least I’ll add another closure, so I can have that option when I want it. In the top picture I’m wearing them the way they come, in the bottom one I have the straps safety-pinned up about two inches shorter just to see how it feels to wear them this way and if I like the look better.
A note about Ganni (link goes to their CSR page) – it’s a Danish company with a sometimes “minimal” aesthetic. Their pricepoint is reasonable for a smaller designer, most items are made with natural fabrics, and they received the Climate Certificate 2018, which means they offset their CO2 emissions by purchasing gold standard credits (more information on that).
These overalls look so great on you, pinning them up looks perfect. Love this look! Also, I’ve had white danskos for years and I have such a love for them. So mid-century or pop art…I always feel “cool” when I wear them.
