Yes, you read that right. First, I am now married, and second, my dress is Madewell.
Honestly, everything happened pretty fast, but that’s the way we like it! I only had a couple of days to find a dress to wear for the ceremony – since everything I own at the moment is black – and I fell in love with this dress at first sight. And I know I will wear it a lot, which was a major qualification for a “wedding” dress at this point in my life.
We had a very simple ceremony with a judge in his chambers (hence the bad fluorescent lighting in the waiting room!), just the two of us, and Sharon taking pictures. Sharon also MADE my bouquet, isn’t it beautiful? And just my style 
Neither Leo or I are the type to make a big fuss over weddings and we’d both been married before, which is why this may seem to have come out of no where – although we had been engaged for about 3 years!! To us, the most important part of our marriage started the day after the wedding, the wedding itself was just to make it “official.” Now, we can look forward to the rest of our lives together (I can’t wait!!)
(and I LOVE the Madewell dress!! notice the “mullet” style hemline…I also think it runs pretty big, mine is a size 8 – and I’m still a 10-12 generally)

thank you!!! i really wanted to get married in las vegas, but that didn’t work out
and although leo did have a big wedding the first time around, i didn’t – it’s just not “me”. in fact my sister and ex-husband took care of all the planning, etc. because i was so busy with work!! ultimately for leo and i, our marriage is about the two of us, no one else, and we wanted to just focus on each other for the wedding.
whatever you do for your wedding, keep the two of you at the top of your priority list. your marriage is WAY more important than your wedding!

I love, love, love your simple bouquet. When I got married 12 years ago, I had blue/purple hydrangeas as my bouquet and still love them. So whenever my husband or I see hydrangeas anywhere, and when our kids point them out (now that they understand why they are specia)l, it makes us smile.
