FINALLY – the Madewell skirt is up online!! GET IT!!! it’s fabulous, although I did size down (I’m wearing a medium). It is 100% rayon and you’re *supposed* to dry clean it, but I wash it in cold water and hang to dry. The only issue it has is that the waistband gets twisted and bent up, it’s pretty flimsy. But that does not bother me at all. And I usually wear a belt…
And I did see the J Crew tee on sale in the store today, BUT I also noticed a HOLE in it. Ugh. I really hate that. So, I can’t very well recommend that you buy it, but I think holes are totally random. I actually noticed one in a JP tee the other day, and out of the 50 million that I have, that’s probably only the second hole I’ve seen. And it’s probably 4 years old. I’ve only worn this J Crew tee 3-4 times…

Uh…it’s the button-front denim skirt I’ve been looking for ALL MY LIFE!! I exaggerate, I’ve only been looking for it since this post. Anyway, it’s not online yet, but I think you can LIKE Madewell on Facebook and you can pre-order it? I tried on a medium and while the waist was a teeny bit tight, I think it fit me well. The large would be too big around the hips, and I don’t need add any more bulk to my hip area It’s $125, so pretty steep, which is why I didn’t get it. It’s perfect, no doubt, but I’m not sure I’m ready to start shaving my legs yet…

That long skirt looks fabulous on you!! Every since I tried the gray version on in the store, I’ve been wanting it, but I still can’t get past spending almost $100 on rayon.

I just got the email about that adorable skirt. You have to get it. It is even worth shaving your legs for!! (My friends have always teased me about shaving/not shaving my legs. i.e. “Val….got a big date tonight? You shaved your legs.”) If you love it that much not on sale, it’s worth buying it before it sells out, right? (a wise young woman named Grechen taught me that!)

Don’t apologize, Jennipher! I think they serve a certain demographic and once in a while, they have some very classic, well made pieces. And I LOVE their new “Land’s End Canvas” items. It’s kind of like J Crew without the attitude!

I agree! YOU LOOK FABULOUS IN THAT DENIM SKIRT!! I think you should get it. Sell lemonade in your front yard with a sign that says “will work for insanely cute Spring clothes!” haha!
