I got this James Perse dress a while ago from the outlet here in San Marcos (wish I’d waited now, the price is better at Nordstrom!), and I haven’t worn it really until now. I love it, and I think it fits me well, there’s just the small matter of my knees: you can see them. Nevermind, I’m trying to get used to my knees 😉

I love it on you! Now I want a dress like that. I would have been nervous to wear a dress that looks like it might be tight and very body conscious, but, based on your picture and the reviews on Nordstrom’s website, it sounds/looks as if the ruching really helps hide any flaws and is very flattering. You look fabulous. I love how you can dress it up or down.
thank you!! i love JP’s ruched dresses/skirts, i always wear shapewear underneath to smooth things out a bit, but i really think they’re very flattering. the ruching REALLY helps to hide flaws and little bumps here and there, it’s true!! maybe i’ll do a post tomorrow on these dresses and try to find more that are similar…i hate that this one sold out so fast!!

Yes, please do a post on similar dresses! I’ve been eyeing this one from Bella Luxx (http://www.bellaluxx.com/product/bl8002/scrunchy-tank-dress.html), but I kept telling myself to let it go b/c I thought the style wouldn’t look good on a pear — worried the ruching would make my hips look bigger and the shape would make me look ever flatter chested — but I might just give it a try!
