Birkenstock Arizona sandals
Ace & Jig zero waste tote |
I got this when they sent them out in return for donations to certain organizations
How am I going to make it 4-5 more weeks?? Rhetorical question of course, because I will make it, and be fine. But still.
I’m wearing my maternity spanx today because I think I’m more comfortable with my belly “supported” rather than just hanging there, if that makes sense; I’m finding lately that I want to hold it up if I’m wearing a loose linen caftan or something. I did buy one of those belly bands early on, but didn’t see the point, so I returned it, but now maybe I’d have used it if I had it. Nevermind, the spanx are fine and not restricting or uncomfortable at all, honestly, so I’m good. I think maybe they help my posture/back too?
And I just can’t with sleeves.
I got this Ace & Jig tote a couple weeks ago after a donation to NARAL (they sent them out free to 400 people who made donations). It’s made from leftover fabric scraps and very simple, but it is serving as my “office” now, as in I put my laptop, mouse, phone, papers and moleskine planner in it to carry everything up and down the stairs multiple times a day. Ugh. Stairs.
Finally, James Perse added new items to the sale over the weekend, which ends on 7/22. There are some more good dress styles on sale, and sweatshirts, sweaters, etc., so check it out if you haven’t already. Has anyone bought anything during the JP sale yet?
Oh, and today was new arrivals day at Slowre if you don’t already get the newsletter, there are still some linen Elizabeth Suzann pieces left in larger sizes!! I’m also still offering 20% off sale items with code 20sale. Trying to clear out some things 😉
Happy Wednesday!
ENJOY the last few weeks, once they are gone life will never be blissfully as easy!!! 🙂
I remember feeling like I needed tummy support during those last few weeks. I even had a lot of pelvic pain – babies are BIG! Get what you need, cuz it’ll probably be worth it. That bump looks round now! 😉
I wish I had some spanx like that when I was pregnant, but I gave birth on Aug 1 last year (here in Texas!), so I didn’t really want additional layers if I could help it. However I found roll-waist yoga pants to be helpful in providing a boost. The belts just didn’t feel comfortable to me. By 38 weeks I was trying to limit getting off the couch as much as possible to completely circumvent gravity. 🙂
Enjoy the last weeks of your pregnancy! It’s such a beautiful and bizarre phenomenon to me, and I’ve given birth twice!
