The casual tee by James Perse is still my favorite t-shirt; the length is great on me, and I love the sccop-neck. And yes, I’m wearing flip-flops. Right now, it’s not so hot, but it’ll be 100+ in a couple of hours, so I just can’t care anymore…
What are you wearing?
I heart my James Perse pencil skirt, and wish I could get more…the length is great, and it is so comfortable while looking polished and flattering me. Nothing too colorful though–navy, grey or brown would be perfect.
Have you tried the scoop neck tee from Everlane? That is my new favorite tee. For whatever reason, I vastly prefer it to their V-necks.
Loving this look! It’s simple and easy but the fit of the skirt gives it a little something extra. I was going to say maybe I should buy the skirt but that looks easy enough for me to make.
Thanks to you and your inspiration I am wearing a white tee today. 🙂 I actually did laundry and decided to throw on my one good white tee with a kelly green blazer from Zara and some army green skinny khakis that I picked up from Gap. I’m really digging the same color family in one outfit so I think I should try it again which to me means buying a new white tee.
i think i was waiting for the scoop neck to come back in stock in my size, and i want to get another ryan tee, so i’m waiting for those to come back…then i’ll place my order!
YES. i wish JP would do a navy or charcoal version of the pencil skirt.
yay! you’re wearing a white tee!! 😉 your outfit sounds great. a little colorful for me, but i can totally picture it on you…
i don’t know though, don’t go crazy with the white tees now, you don’t want too many LOL
Jen and Grechen: Are the James Perse pencil skirts stretchy and supportive or just cotton? I would like to try one, but I need it to have some spandex for that “bounce back” feature I like. (Really, just to suck in the blubby parts!)
I’m loving this outfit combo on you, Grechen. I am a fan of the casual tee, too. It’s been a long time, and I can’t really remember how I got started on them (my first one was navy and I still have it!) but probably because of you!
Just received a new white “Swing Tee” from Madewell. I had a gift card, so I used it on that and got it for only $9! It’s dressier and I think it will look great with a maxi skirt.
I’ve been living in my Paige Jimmy Jimmy boyfriend shorts and a slouchy Wilt tank top for days…That and my bathing suit. It’s been a PERFECT week in the Hamptons!
