Outfit: New Inhabit NY

So, this is what I REALLY wore yesterday – featuring my new Inhabit NY sweater. And yes, flats again. And the necklace is Low Luv X Erin Wasson – not available anywhere online at the moment. I can’t help it; I just want to wear flats lately. And I know I should wear heels more – everything just looks longer & leaner with heels – but I don’t want to.

Anyway, I really messed up these jeans. They were super-cheap at the Gap, and too big/too long, but still. I chose to cut them instead of get them hemmed and it totally screwed up the way they look with my high-heel clogs. Really, they look silly. But I was craving a pair of “normal” jeans, you know? Something dark, without holes and not “boyfriend” style. So, I wore them anyway.

Back to the Inhabit NY sweater – it’s quite large, and I really struggled with getting the smaller size when I ordered it, but didn’t. I wish I had, but not enough to exchange it. I can work with it, and it looks great with straight-leg jeans and heels to create a longer line and balance out the larger top. The sweater is SO SOFT, I can’t quite understand it, and warm, but not too warm I can’t wear it here in Austin. All in all, I think it was a great buy for $208 – but I would definitely recommend sizing down…

OH!! and, I thought Inhabit was doing better with their color representation. NOPE. I thought I was getting a brown sweater and instead got grey. Which I do like, but I was anticipating brown. I’m used to it by now I suppose, you never know what you’re going to get IRL from Inhabit, but I always like it…

Admittedly, the last two outfits have been more “what not to wear” for my body-type, and I probably could have made more of an effort to style the James Perse pants & this sweater differently, but this is reality. I do feel like I should post my “real” outfits as much as possible, not just what I style for taking the picture. But maybe I’m wrong…do you like to see it all (the hits & the misses)? or would you prefer perfection all the time (LOL)?
