Rag & Bone Hudson tee (few years old)
Ganni Bluebell overalls (sold out)
James Perse cashmere cardigan/coat (several years old)
Nike Air Max DIA SE sneakers (more sizes available at Bandier)
Transience Camo Nylon swing bag (gift for review)
These overalls have turned out to be such a great purchase for me, pre-and during-pregnancy. I wish I’d been less zealous cutting them off though, they’re a bit shorter than I’d like after washing a few times. They won’t fit for too much longer, they’re already a little tough getting on over my hips, but once they’re on, they’re very comfortable. My belly has filled out a bit, but I’m still waiting for something to happen up top haha, so there’s still a lot of room up there.
I spotted these Nike Air Max DIA sneakers a while ago in the grey colorway and hesitated a bit too long to buy them until they sold out in my Nike size (8.5, which is a half size bigger than my “normal” size) and regretted it instantly. Then I saw these in person and started obsessing over THIS colorway. (Yes, I’m doing quite a bit of anxiety shopping/browsing lately *shrugs* and shoes are a slightly more safe buy than clothes nowadays.)
I got them yesterday and wore them all afternoon. I am wearing smartwool secret sleuth socks (I have about a million pairs of these) with them and do feel like they’re a little big in the toe box, but otherwise fit well. My feet do tend to swell a bit in warmer weather – it was below freezing all day yesterday – so I think they’ll fit fine later on, but if yours don’t it might be worth it to not size up in these? They are SUPER COMFORTABLE though; I think I’ll wear them a lot.
FYI I feel generally good about Nike’s sustainability efforts – the direction they’re moving in anyway, and appreciate that these sneakers in particular don’t have any leather bits.
Last week I received this new camo swing bag from Transience to review and have been using it before I give it a proper review. I worked with Transience in 2017-18 to review their first bag, the “original” swing bag, and have been following the brand ever since. This new bag is smaller than the original swing bag, which I always thought was a little too big, but still loved, AND it comes with a detachable crossbody strap. It is nylon, but it does have leather trim on the straps as reinforcement. So far, I love it, and actually think it will make a great diaper bag since it it waterproof and has lots of pockets inside including a water bottle (baby bottle?) pouch. Anyway, more later!!
Happy Tuesday!
That bag will make a great diaper bag. Very stylish. How obvious is the camo design?
it’s really not very obvious at all. that’s why i’m okay with it 😉 – i’m not a huge fan of camo in general, but this is very very subtle!!
That’s what I was thinking. I’ll be interested to hear what you think about the bag as you keep using it. It looks very durable.
Just a word of warning – after 2 back-to-back pregnancies, my feet grew a size to a size and a half. I had to replace every pair of shoes I owned eventually. Every. Single. Pair.
So I’d recommend being really cautious in adding shoes to your wardrobe unless you do like the Nikes and go up at least a little in the size. Your feet often swell at the end of pregnancy too.
Bags are safer purchases!
