I’ve worn these sandals twice since I first reviewed them on Friday, and I’m happy to report that the straps have loosened up enough to be way more comfortable.  Overall, they are better than they were their first trip out, but they’re no Birkenstocks…

Yes, they’re more “chic” and streamlined, and they’re very good for quick trips when you don’t want the “Birkenstock” look, but they’re still not as comfortable in the footbed as I think they could be.  And yeah, I keep harping on the Birkenstock thing, but that’s only because they started it 😉

And, as I mentioned also on Friday, I finally took my Everlane wide leg pants for alterations and now they’re a much better length on me.  Still not entirely cropped, unless I pull them all the way up on my waist, but I’m much happier with them now, and have worn them twice (including today) since getting them back.  I am also happy with the size 10 that I decided to go with after trying the size 8; they have stretched a little, but that just means that now they fit me nicely, skimming over all my bumpy bits.

This afternoon I’m going to finally go over to REI and check out the sale/use my member coupon (I usually do this on the first day.  I know.). I want to look at the Patagonia sling bag in person and if I like it, I’ll get it with my coupon – it looks like it might be a good travel bag/backpack/sling.  Otherwise, the Patagonia bra I tried on last time I was in the store is on sale, and I’ll probably get that – I can really use another sports bra.  I do need a rain jacket, but I’m going to wait for their fall sale/coupon to get that.  Have you shopped the REI sale?
