Clearly, the Everlane Silk cami doesn’t work for me. And before you ask, no, I don’t think it can be altered to fit. I did think about that, given some recent discussions on tailoring.
This is the size medium, and as you can see, it’s much too large up top. I mean REALLY large (I’m a 34b) even though I have the straps shortened nearly as much as humanly possible. Of course, it’s too small at my hips, and much too large around my middle. Typical.
I was SOO hoping for a nice, silk camisole that would drape down just at my hips, with a nice neckline, and substantial feel. This does have a nice feel/weight to it, and I appreciate that it’s lined up top, although I can’t imagine who would NOT wear a bra with this (I’m wearing a strapless one), but the fit is just so horribly off on me.
For reference, I had the silk tank in medium, and thought it was too large and too a-line for my taste. It fit nicely up top, actually, but was too big at my hips. And I’ve had a silk blouse in medium, and I felt like that fit me well too, maybe it was a bit snug at the hips, but when I wore that one, I tucked it in. I did also try (and return) the silk sleeveless blouse because of the same problem I have with this one: big up top, small at the hips.
I give up on silk.
Do you have the Everlane silk cami? How do you find the fit? How has it held up?
