(I have them rolled under here)
So, here are the new Everlane corduroys, which seem to be sold out/on backorder in almost all colors and sizes except for a few sizes in the golden brown. They’re just okay. They fit me well, although I only ordered the size 8 because that was the only size left when I ordered them; I would have chosen the size 6 otherwise, since that “seems” to be my size lately. Turns out the size 8s are probably my size in these, except they aren’t cropped on me, as usual.
They’re boring though. In my opinion. On me, at least. This was my problem with their denim as well; it just didn’t look or feel very “modern” to me at all. I understand, classic, and all that, but I don’t really believe in classic, for me anyway. I don’t anticipate things lasting “forever” in my wardrobe, nor do I want them to. I want to buy and wear things I love, that are high quality, and that are interesting. And then I want to pass them on when I’m finished with them.
They’re comfortable though. The waistband is good, and they’re easy to sit in. I haven’t worn them enough to tell how much they’ll stretch, but I think they will give just enough, and still keep their shape. This bone color is not opaque (I’m wearing a nude-to-me Hanky Panky thong), so if you care about that sort of thing, I’d stick with wearing close to skin color underwear under these.
I like these pants, just not for me. I wanted to try them, though, since I’d been looking at light-colored pants/jeans after I sold my beloved Chimala pair a while ago. I thought maybe these pants would scratch that itch, but they don’t.
If anyone’s interested in these before I send them back or sell them on slowre, let me know!
