Here’s a little tidbit I translated through babelfish about the tanning process:

“DID YOU KNOW? LEATHERS MILKED IN THE ENVIRONMENTAL RESPECT OFFER A BETTER QUALITY To reduce to the maximum the use of chromium in the process of tanning is one of the missions of the craftsmen selected by Jerome Dreyfuss. They privilege a vegetable tanning and nonchemical products. Thus, they manage to apply only 8% of chromium to our leathers, that is to say the minimum rate to date. In normal weather, these rates can reach up to 90% of the components of the colour! (The vegetable pigments used for the tanning are stored most naturally of the world, in barrels out of wooden)”
