Outfit: Drape-y

wearing: James Perse dress (old) | Joie linen tee (old) | Rachel Comey clogs | Dannijo necklace | 3.1 Philip Lim bag

I am a busy, busy girl!! Makeup two days in a row :) And I felt like trying to look a little more “lady-like” today, hence the body-hugging dress. I love this dress, but really haven’t worn it much, because as usual, it’s a tad big up top and small on the bottom, so I can’t wear it on it’s own. So I threw this tee on top, but it looked messy until I decided to knot it on the side, but then, I feel like it’s too much, with the way the dress drapes & the knot? You know me…always over-thinking!! But I love the way it turned out.

I got the Rachel Comey clogs (they’re identical to my black ones) via Jumelle when they had their Refinery29 deal and I haven’t worn them yet; I normally don’t wear closed-toe shoes in the Summer, but these are SO INCREDIBLY comfortable and lightweight that I’m going to do it. I have a lot of running around to do today and these will be great for that.

Hope you have an amazing weekend!!!

That necklace is great, I love oversized statement pieces like that.

I’m loving the sexier look!! And I don’t think the draping and knot are too much. You could try tucking the knot into the shirt so that you don’t see it.

i actually ended up putting the knot in the back since it kept coming out on the side…it worked better i think! good point about tucking the knot in though..i will try that too.

Love the dress! I haven’t really considered truing dresses into skirts, but it works for this one.

Such a slimming outfit on you! I love draping–it’s my best friend!!! And I would never have guessed that you were wearing a dress with a tee over it…looks totally like a sexy skirt and top!

Hey Grechen!!
AWESOMEEEEEEE!!…..You are looking soooo gorgeous in that outfit no doubt.Black and white combo is amazing, and your neckless and shoes are complimenting your dress very well. But according to me you can do something more with that hand bag,it should be of white color or something for some more trance, please don’t mind,it is only my view.Thank You for sharing this with us.
THANK YOU and GOD BLESS!!

The skirt looks nice on you. I also like the shoes because the color is unique. Your necklace is also good because it is quite innovative and has creative pendant.

Love this drapey skirt/dress look on you! I’ve been on the hunt for a shorter version, but this length is pretty fantastic too! The easy pulled back hair, and fab tribal necklace completes the look thoroughly!
