So, I had pretty much decided to get rid of this skirt, but my friend Sydney has convinced me not to:
She came over yesterday to do some wardrobe consulting and planned my outfit today 😉 As I mentioned before, this skirt does NOT “fit” into my wardrobe, but I like it, so I bought it anyway. I’ve worn it a couple of times, but I never reach for it when I’m getting dressed, I have to really challenge myself to create an outfit around it. Sydney really helped me to realize that I should have a couple of things in my closet that are a little outside of my comfort zone to mix things up a bit. And I’m beginning to see her wisdom 😉
so…you’ll never guess what happened…I took the skirt off after I got home from lunch and went to zip it back up and put it away and the ZIPPER IS BROKEN. Totally broken, beyond repair broken. It’s not like I had a hard time zipping it up OR down today, not at all. I can’t even imagine how it could have happened…although I had a feeling the zipper would be a problem when I bought it because it would get stuck on the fabric, and I think I remember reading some comments on the Anthropologie site to the same effect. I’m disappointed 🙁 But I’m taking it back to Anthropologie – I hope they’ll give me at least store credit for it.
She also styled my outfit for a fashion show we’re attending tomorrow night for Tribeza Style Week…you WILL NOT BELIEVE IT. Well, you might, but the shoes will blow your mind. hint: they are NOT clogs. Stay tuned…
