Since Kendi announced her latest 30for30 challenge, I had been thinking about whether or not to join in. I thought I’d do an All-James-Perse for 30 days challenge, but decided against that right now (again) because I just got a couple new things I want to wear ;). And I will admit, thinking of picking out 30 things to wear for the next 30 days REALLY stressed me out. But as I got in my closet and started to separate out things I might want to include, it became easier, and I decided to do it. So here goes, with outfit number 1:
I’m wearing:
James Perse long skirt
L’agence t-shirt
Anthropologie Jacket
Repetto grey cap-toe BB flats
Jas M.B. bag
And here’s a complete look at my 30 items (I don’t know what that weird box is in the right-hand corner. clearly, I am not a professional photographer):
They are –
James Perse long black skirt
James Perse short black skirt
James Perse black tube dress
Anthropologie denim skirt
Velvet dress (grey)
Anthropologie dress (pink)
Joe’s Jeans (2 pairs)
James Perse casual tee – 3 colors, grey, white, black
Long Sleeve black James Perse tee
Long sleeve white v-neck James Perse tee
H&M sweatpants
L’Agence dark grey tee
James Perse slouchy tank top
T by Alexander Wang v-neck lightweight sweater
Calypso Cocoon cardigan
Opening Ceremony Cardigan
Autumn Cashmere cardigan
Madewell army jacket
Anthropologie cropped jacket
DarylK cropped 3/4 cardigan
James Perse leggings
LnA white v-neck tee
Repetto nude BB flats
Repetto grey cap-toe BB flats
Swedish Hasbeens clogs
No6 clogs
Whew. I think that’s 28 29 things (oops, forgot to count one more cardigan). Part of Kendi’s challenge is also no shopping for 30 days, but I REALLY need to use the 15% off discount I got from Anthropologie for my birthday month, so I’m not thinking that’s going to work so well. So, I left 2 spots for my future anthropologie purchases: one printed dress & one cropped jacket 😉 – ok, well, maybe just one piece – the dress….
As per her instructions, tights aren’t included, but I did include one pair of leggings. And I didn’t even think that Thanksgiving falls inside the 30 days, and I’ll be traveling to Atlanta (which is colder than TX), so I may need to add a jacket or sweater to the mix for my trip. But otherwise, I plan on doing this everyday (even on the weekend) and think it will be fun! Are you doing it? Click here to see the list she compiled of “official” 30for30 remixers (I’m not on it, because I didn’t make up my mind to do it in enough time).
Hooray! You look great!

I really do want to do this, but then it would mean that I would actually have to go through not only my closet, but all of my storage bins from the basement (let’s put it this way: Summer’s bins have not been gone through and they’re still sitting in a corner in my bedroom!). This would be a challenge, for sure!!!
oh…you can do it!!! it’s interesting how “liberating” the whole process was/is – now i don’t have to think about what to wear…
