anthropologie threaded trails dress review

WEARING
Threaded Trails swing dress | $88 at Anthropologie this weekend
Spanx tight-end tights
Rag & Bone Harrow booties
7 for all mankind denim jacket (old)
Francesco Biasia Brooke Tote (courtesy of Forzieri)
(I did not bring with me even ONE necklace!! accessory fail..)

Well, obviously I broke down and went to get this dress today – I couldn’t pass it up at the price. Mine is a size medium, and it fits well, aside from being just a teeny bit snug in the bust/arm area. It’s also just a little shorter than I normally like, but for wearing with tights, I can handle it ;) There are so many ways to wear this dress – I happened to bring my denim jacket with me, so that is how I styled it today, but if I had a cashmere pullover I would have preferred that probably; it would define my waist a little better. This style if dress is different than anything I have already – I tend to favor shorter dresses/skirts that are much more fitted so I can cover up and you can still see my body. Does that make sense? Like I do with this Bailey44 dress (sold out, but similar in black):

(that’s Sharon, Sydney and I at our last hunt.gather.style pop-up shop)

But the Threaded Trails dress is a welcome addition to my wardrobe, it’s super-easy to throw on and go, even without anything covering up on top (the neckline is really flattering) and I know I’ll get a ton of use out of it! The Anthropologie sales associate was wearing hers today and said she’s worn it at least once a week since she got it. She was wearing a puffer vest over it, with tights and knee-high boots; she looked SO cute…

Anyway, the dress is on sale this weekend for 25% off so get it now if you are interested! Happy weekend :)

I was tempted by this too. Do you think I could wear it with Fiorentini & Baker moto-ish boots? The Elis? And tights?

Yes! I think that would look great. I’ll wear mine with my flat boots too…

Ooooo….a different style for you!!! I love it on you. I think it DOES show off your tiny waist quite well, thank you. And the black tights are pure inspiration with the dress and booties. This is my new fave for you!
