This is the Madewell jacket I mentioned on Monday; I love that it’s cropped so I can wear it with dresses. But even though it is cropped, it’s still longer on me than I’d like…
I should have worn a belt with this dress. IRL, you can see how the dress cinches in at my waist; in pictures it’s nearly impossible to see. And I didn’t wear a belt because I felt like it was too much. (didn’t I mention my accessorizing problem before?) I am VERY minimal when it comes to accessories – sometimes belts seem over the top, even when they probably aren’t. I think in this case, I need a black belt with a simple buckle, so you can see definition, but it doesn’t stand out TOO much. What do you think?

Maybe a belt….But I think that the jacket does the job of defining the waist area and it’s SO cute!!! I still can’t believe the deal you got at Madewell. I’ve held off buying anything from them because I saw that their size L is smaller than most other brands L (it’s more like the sizing on contemporary upscale brands!), but I am looking at their jewelry!!
