I have to say, as far as 40th birthdays go, I had the best one EVER Among the wonderful gifts I received (a Kindle paperwhite from my husband, and David Yurman bracelet, Barney’s GC and Tory Burch foxy iphone case from my dad and stepmom, hair cut & color from my mom…), my father surprised me while Sharon, Sydney and I were working our pop-up shop this weekend! I was shocked, and totally started crying when I saw my dad with my husband; I knew Leo was going to “surprise” me at the shop, but I had no idea how, and certainly didn’t expect to see my father. But it was the best surprise & birthday gift I got and we had the best weekend, just hanging out, eating amazing food and shopping – of course.

Tomorrow we’re driving to Atlanta for our new nephew’s bris and since we’ll already be there, we’re staying for Thanksgiving! Besides the fact that I’ll have an opportunity (finally) to wear all my favorite cold-weather clothes, I’ll be spending three weeks with my family. Then we’re coming back to Austin for a few days before we head to Amsterdam! Phew. I’m getting tired just thinking about it…
