You know what I decided? If I had to shop at only one boutique for the rest of my life, or if by some miracle I won everything from a particular store, I’d want it to be Beklina. I used to think Anthropologie was that store, but it’s become a bit too feminine and frou-frou for me lately. There is no other store, online or off, where I am absolutely in love with every single item in it (well, except James Perse, but those are basics).
Let me show you why…
Angelina never ceases to amaze me with her selection, and it’s like she’s reading my mind when she chooses pieces to buy for Beklina. I love that she doesn’t carry every piece from each designer she works with – she picks and chooses her favorites; I feel almost like I’m looking in her closet when I shop there! And to bring it all together, she only carries items that are made from eco-friendly fabrics and/or are ethically produced and/or are made locally by independent designers like Mociun, Lina Rennell, Manimal, Loyale & more. And OMG, she’s re-designed the site to make it easier to browse by designer or by category, and when you hover over an image, you’ll see below it the designer and price. The pictures and outfit styling are still totally awesome.
Oh yeah…and for the next week (until Wednesday, April 15) when you spend $500 or more at Beklina, take 30% off your order with code “500for30.” This is an exclusive discount just for you, so stock your closet now with your Beklina favorites…I know I am!!
beklina is great – i discovered them last summer and have been periodically checking back since. i’m so sad that they’re all out of the virginia johnson camel print shawls though…i should have bought it when i had the chance!
miss sophie’s last blog post..for the birthday boy
i felt the same way about the camel shawl! i wanted it so bad a couple of years ago, but waited too long, and it was gone, so i got a “pebbles” print shawl instead that i love. that’s why now, if i’m obsessing about something for more than a couple of days, i get it so i don’t regret it later! that’s what happened with my alexander wang bag – it got to the point i was dreaming about it…so i knew i needed to buy it, and i’m so happy i did π
you should post more pics of you in your pebble vj shawl. i have my lovely kelly green elephant print shawl in the meantime…but i think i’ll still be on the lookout for the camel print!
