My favorite part of this “job,” is finding out about new designers/boutiques and doing my small part to help them grow. Over the years since I launched Grechen’s Closet, I’ve exposed hundreds of new designers to the “world” and I like to feel like I’ve had some hand in their success. Hey, every little bit helps, and I’m happy to do my part š
So, on to the latest designer – Organic Stereo – an ethical UK-based Fashion Company. The name itself has kind of a retro-feel to it, but then again, so do the clothes. My favorite pieces are the nautical striped tunics, and I also love the cami’s and the 50’s retro-print top.
All the pieces are made from certified organic cotton and produced responsibly in Portugal. I love that they even consider the hang tag (you know, the thing you cut off immediately and throw away?) and make it as environmentally friendly as possible. And their buttons are made from 70% recycled paper using a new technology developed in Italy – supposedly they’re as hard as plastic. Cool.
AND, since they’ve just launched their online store, Organic Stereo is celebrating by offering 25% off everything this week (until Friday, June 27). Also cool.
