Starting now, check out the Inhabit NY online sample sale – cotton tanks start at $20, and cashmere tops out at $80!! Here’s just a sampling…
FYI, I have 5 of these cotton cardigans and I can’t say enough wonderful things about them…get one in every color if you can π In my opinion, they run true to size.
Yeah I just got two more vneck tops . . . they are great. I really hope their new summer sweater that is looser would be on sample sale someday, they look great. The ones on sale right now are nice but they fit quite snug (well, they claim it fits like second skin, after all).

yay!! i love the new cotton stuff – it definitely looks looser than the stuff that’s on sale now. this one is on my wishlist: http://www.inhabitny.com/cottonlinen-long-sleeve-vneck-p-499.html – i love all the new cotton/linen stuff. don’t worry, it will be on sale eventually π
Hi – I’m thinking about ordering one of the cotton cardi’s (your favs) but it freaks me out a little to order something final sale sight unseen. When you say they true to size, do you have any sense if a small would be the right size for a size 4-6? (yes, by their size charts) Thanks!
hi cola! i am a size 10-12 and always take a size L in their cotton. at first, they can be snug, and some people aren’t ready for that, but with wear, the cotton does stretch and give a bit. if you like a looser fit, maybe a medium would be better? but my first instinct would be to go by their size charts and get a small…hopefully someone else will be able to chime in here…but i honestly think you’d be okay with a small…
Let me chime in…..
At first, I was buying smalls in the cotton stuff and than switched to petite since they do stretch and I like a snug fit. I normally wear a size 4 and have little boobs (34A/B), so I found the small to be on the bigger size for me. I suppose it all depends on how you like it to fit, BUT since it’s a cardi, I think getting the small would be a wise move so you have a bit more room.
I swear, they ARE my favorite brand.
thank you for your input π
Thanks for the tip, Grechen! I was able to snag the wrap sweater for a measly $40! What a great bargain – can’t wait to get it!
ohhh I’m so tempted to get a cotton cardi in that gorgeous red!

I have looked at nearly every Inhabit sample sale for about a year, and never bought anything because I dislike most of the available colors. (They seem kind of drab, except for ‘beeswax’ and ‘paprika’.) But this time I went for an ivory cashmere cardigan, and I’m looking forward to it π
you should π
oh, you will love it!! i do agree about the colors though. i wish they did a better job of showing what the colors truly look like in real life…and definitely the colors that end up on sale, are not always the most desirable. although i’ve never been unhappy with any of the colors i’ve gotten.
I got my sweaters today – yay! Love them – though I do have a comment or two about the colors. (Anyone reading this from the Inhabit website listen up!) In no way shape or form do the actual colors resemble the colors on the web site. I got the classic cotton in “Beeswax.” I thought I was getting some shade of bright yellow by the swatch on the website. It actually IS the color of beeswax (ochre) – nice color and one I’ll probably find useful, but not one I would have ordered had the swatch been more accurate. (By this logic “Pool” would be bright turquoise. Is it? I’ve no idea what color “Pool” is as I didn’t order it, but by the swatch it is a pale muddy blue.) The other sweater I got was a cropped cashmere cardigan in “Lavender.” It”s a nice dusky greenish grayish color – so I guess they named it after the leaves, not the flowers! Anyway, you pay your money and take your chances with this sample sale, but I’m happy I did.
i’m so glad you’re happy!! i usually try to mention when i post about inhabit that their colors are NOT reflected properly on the website, maybe i forgot this time…but i have definitely noticed that over the years. ultimately, i’m always happy with the colors, but they’re always different than what i expect! i do have the beeswax, and remember thinking the color was going to be totally different, but in reality, i’m very happy with the beeswax color – it’s the one out of five that i wear most often π i’ve been thinking about putting together a page w/inhabit “in real life” colors with website colors vs real colors side by side so people can see better what they’re getting…but i haven’t had the time π it would be very helpful though, no?
