Thanks to all who entered the James Perse giveaway…what an awesome turnout! But you didn’t think I’d leave you without the opportunity to win more stuff, do you??

For the next week, three readers will have a chance to win a pair of earrings by House of Harlow from The Trend Boutique! Winners will choose from blue, purple, green or red:

Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock or something, you probably know that the House of Harlow line of jewelry is designed by Nicole Richie. And you probably also know that I hardly ever talk about celebrity fashion, or celebrity-designed lines here on Grechen’s Closet…but the thing is, I actually like this line. Forget for a second it’s designed by Nicole Richie and just look at the individual pieces:

I love the retro 50′s vibe of many items, the aztec bangles, the HUGE cocktail rings and the simple stackable rings & bangles. I don’t look at these as classic, wear everyday, or long-lived pieces, they’re just fun & great for adding color and whimsy to Summer outfits. I also think the price point is perfect; too many “celebrity” lines price their pieces so high that their target market can’t afford them. But I appreciate that House of Harlow makes hip, fun jewelry accessible to more women, with prices starting at $19 for a think stacking ring & topping out at $195 for elaborate hairpieces.

My personal fave is the House of Harlow 1960 14KT Gold Aztec Bangle with Red Leather. I would really like to get that and also the House of Harlow 1960 14KT Rose Gold Hoop Earrings. The design is unique and I love the pinkish hue of the rose gold.

I have so many outfits these earrings would go with and they look so comfortable and stylish. ann May 24, 2009 at 4:16 pm: there are some great, fun pieces in the collection & also some i’m not too fond of. i really like the rings and the gold necklace with black resin, but i would probably never wear any of the headbands. i don’t care for some of the gaudier pieces, but a lot of the simpler, quirky ones i really love (like the earrings). it’s a good collection, i can see anyone loving at one piece at the very least!
