I’ve featured and worked with a lot of Independent Designers over the years here at Grechen’s Closet, but did you know that in my “previous life” I worked with independent Israeli clothing & jewelry designers? That was many years ago, but I always loved the innovation and quality I found in Israeli design, and hoped to one day again help bring it more exposure in the US.
Now there’s a shopping site that does just that: Coolil. I learned about it yesterday via this post from Maria, and have spent quite some time browsing around since then! My favorite pieces on the site are the handbags from designers Kisim, Efika, Magnes Sisters and Danielle Lehavi; there is not one bag or wallet I wouldn’t love to own. There’s also some gorgeous jewelry and the cutest stuffed toys for children by Manuella.
So, I’m particularly excited about this week’s giveaway: an Efika square leather wallet in black. This is one of the original pieces that caught my eye – everything about it is unexpected. From the way the wallet opens and the inside pockets, to the bright lining inside, this leather wallet is an interesting piece of design, as well as totally practical.

I really like all of the products by Kisim. The handbags are stylish and versatile, and the Wallabe wallets are just plain cool.

It’s hard to pick just one, but I really loved the Dry Martini Clutch by Magnes Sisters. It’s chic, versatile, goes from day to night, had a chain for when you want it…what’s not to love! Do I have to pick a color? Maybe the orange…so fun and fresh for spring.
Magnes Sisters’ stuff is outrageous! The shapes of their bags, coupled with the colors they use, are just over the top!

I love this shop! I really love the Dry Martini black wave clutch. (magnes Sisters) Its just the right clutch for me. Its not too small or too big, its gorgous, and it can dress up a pair of jeans. Not to mention black goes with a lot of things. thanks great giveaway!
I really like the Dry Martini Clutch by the Magnes Sisters, and I see that a few other commentorrs love the clutch, too! It looks like a great clutch because it can transition from casual to dressy. I’m thinking I like the orange or the desert color best.
I like the Small Belt Clutch Wallet in Red by Daniella Lehavi. It is versatile and I like the raised pattern. The sheen is beautiful and the buckle makes it look classic but not boring.
