(that’s decaf coffee by the way…!)
Earlier this year I wrote a post about the blogs I read for inspiration, or diversion, and asked you to share links to blogs that you enjoy.
I added quite a few blogs to my regular reads based on your suggestions, and we’ve also got quite a few new commenters who have blogs, so I thought it was time for an update. As usual, if you have any other suggestions, please leave a comment with links! And if you have a blog I missed, let me know!
The Nife en l’Air – Kali’s blog is one I have to save for when I have time to really read and reflect on what she’s written. I relate to her words on so many levels, and have a deep respect for what she shares on her blog.
Recovering Shopaholic – I’ve been reading Debbie’s blog for a while now, since someone linked to her in a comment, I think. I’m completely hooked, and look forward to her thoughtful posts each month on what she’s worn, and her continuing work on really honing in her her personal style. I’ve been honored that she’s featured me several times in her useful links posts because I truly respect and appreciate her work, and enjoy visiting the other blogs she links to.
Cognitive Buyers – UTTERLY fascinating and engrossing blog on consumer psychology and economics. It’s kind of heavy for everyday reading, but I get SO excited anytime I have time to sit down and really devour a few posts at a time.
materfamilias writes – I’m a big fan of Frances’ writing on life, running, and style. And I love to wander through her travel pictures, and enjoy her musings on “regular” life, and the struggles she (and we all) faces day to day.
Walking with Cake – Catherine is a pretty regular commenter here, and I enjoy that she prefers to write about and wear American made, sustainable clothing as much as possible. Her tagline is also “writing about beauty in everyday life” – love that! (she’s a big Everlane fan too…)
Fancy Stuff & Pretty Things – I think I found Ashley’s blog originally through Patti’s link up, but I’ve been hooked ever since. And I’m proud that Ashley is a frequent commenter here now. Love her outfit posts, and authentic writing style!
How to be Chic – I don’t remember how I found Fiona’s blog, maybe via Janice’s link-up on The Vivienne Files? I particularly like her posts on living simply, but I enjoyed her recent post “the French perspective on high heels” because it made me think a bit about my recent proclamation that “I don’t wear heels” anymore.
12:04 – Olga’s blog is a new one to me, but I can’t wait to explore more. Jen posted a link to her recent article, Not a Shopping Blog, in a comment, and it really resonated with me, as Grechen’s Closet is sort of a “shopping” blog too…
Work Life imbalance – Joanna is a new commenter here, and I love her “cost per wear under $1” posts. That’s my kind of cost per wear!!
Beautify My Life – Jessica’s been a commenter here for a while, and just had her second child! Congrats Jessica!!
Baking2Bulldogs – Augustina is also a commenter here. I’m dying to try the recipe she posted for lemon blueberry pancakes, and her bulldog pictures kill me…
