It seems like we do this every year, talk about block-heel sandals (case in point), but that’s only because they’re GOOD. I prefer a lower, chunkier heel, over a higher slimmer heel any day, but especially with block-heels, I think the lower and the wider, the better. A good, chunky mid-heel is okay too, but can border on pilgrim-y or 90’s grunge-y if the rest of the shoe isn’t modern enough.
I’ve been harboring a secret lust for those two-tone Jil Sander sandals recently, but the Jeffrey Campbell pair up top is also calling my name. I wonder if I can pull a low/mid-chunky heel off? And how? Perhaps it’s time to try…
Here are some more chunky heel sandals I found and love:

What do you think? do you love the look? Do you own a pair?
I love love love block heels, especially sandals. I generally prefer clunky shoes over delicate ones (i.e., I wore a lot of Doc Martens back in the day), so they appeal to me aesthetically, as well as being comfortable.
Those Jeffrey Campbell sandals are fantastic…I am REALLY on a shopping ban now, so will have to stalk them in the sales later in the summer.
I LOVE block heel sandals. I ordered the Edelman Trinas, but sent them back. I just don’t need them these days. But were I still working? In a heartbeat. I actually like those Zaras you’ve got above, best of all.

i love those zara sandals – they have quite a few really good ones now too, but i’ve never quite brought myself to buy a pair. they don’t seem to fit right…
we are the same 🙂
i alternated docs, clogs & birkenstocks for most of my life….and it appears now also, just not the docs…
the jeffrey campbell ones are so good – and i’m sure they’ll go on sale!!
Wow! H&M is doing a great job with their shoes these days. I used to feel that shoes were the one point really lacking in H&M’s arsenal, but these are great.
I love that same pair of Jeffrey Campbell’s and I think they’d be very flattering because of the “vee” effect in the front. I’ve been watching them for quite awhile, but I’m torn between those and the Sam Edelman “Trina” that keeps on going strong.
I also want so etching like the “Gillis” by Alpha60 (New brand?), with some white sole (oxymoron?????) in the picture, but I’m not so sure the budget can handle it right now.
Love your choices!
Forgot to mention the designer I think is doing chunky heels the best: Maryam Nasdir Zadeh
