Yesterday on twitter I mentioned that I was bored with bags lately. I can’t believe I’m going to say this, but I’m kind of over all the embellishment & studs ALL over bags (Alexander Wang bags aside π ) and I’m not seeing many bags recently worth of posts. Maybe it’s because I’m so obsessed with clogs now?
Anyway, just now in my e-mail I received a note from Botkier about their Rivington Drawstring Bag featured recently in Bazaar – and I take back what I said yesterday about not being interested in bags. I LOVE this one! And honestly, it’s the first Botkier bag I’ve loved since the Trigger (I also mentioned on twitter this morning how much I lament selling my large trigger a couple of years ago).
The gray bag is my favorite, but I wouldn’t turn the python down either π
Since I got my Alexander Wang Diego bag, I have fallen in love with the bucket/drawstring shape and I love that the Botkier is embellishment-free, LARGE, and I love that it has a zippered entrance to the bag on the side.
Phew. I’m not really tired of bags (@SusanSweet was worried), I’m just pickier about what I like…
WHEW! I feel so much better now. π
You picked a good one, Grechen. I think I will become similarly obsessed. I adore it in gray, and I’ve been waiting for the “perfect” gray bag – the kind that can go with anything, especially casual outfits. This might be the one!
Also, I know you’re over embellishments, which I assume would include zippers, but the Botkier Venice Hobo is a really, truly, wonderful bag. I think it would give your AW Donna a run for its money in functionality, roominess, etc. If you ever decide to give zippers another chance, I know you would love the Venice Hobo in squishy, comfy lamb leather. I still love mine to death.
So…I’m trying not to laugh but: “…since I’m so obsessed with clogs now…” NOW??? Since when have you not been obsessed with clogs!!! You just got the fashion red-light on them, Grechen! π
right…that’s what i meant π there are just so many now!!
I LOVE my Botkier Rivington handbag. I also have the Zara tassle clogs. I was obsessed with them, and I finally got my hands on a pair this spring. I appreciate your love for all things beautiful (handbags . . . clogs). π
