Remember the top I got from the JAMES PERSE OUTLET!!!!!!!!! a couple weekends ago that I couldn’t find online? Well, turns out I didn’t look hard enough; here it is at Saks on sale for $29:
I love the color “olympic” and it seems to be available in all sizes, but I would recommend sizing down one size – my normal size is a little too drapey on me. And FYI, my friend Sharon got one at the JAMES PERSE OUTLET!!!!!!!! also, but since hers was folded instead of hanging up, it was more of a cropped top than mine. She was going to hang it for a while and see if that stretched it a bit. You could also wash it on cold water, then hang it to dry – that would lengthen it too I think.
Since it’s recently dropped below 100 degrees here, I can start to wrap my head around the possibility of wearing long sleeves sometime in the not-so-distant future. Maybe; I get VERY hot just thinking about it!
But just for a moment, let me dream of Fall…
Ribbed jewel neck tee in dark teal (this color makes me weak in the knees) – $65. This shirt reminds me of my ribbed long sleeve tees from last year, but it’s 100% cotton, which I like better. I loved the fit of the nylon/cotton ones, but hated that the sleeves stretched out so much if I had to push them up at all…
I think I tried on a very similar version of this dress at the JAMES PERSE OUTLET!!!!!!!!!! recently, and I loved it for Fall. It’s a bit short for me to wear without tights/leggings, but bring on the colder weather, and I will TOTALLY be rocking this. With a belt, of course.
I’m not sure this pull-on wrap skirt is “for me,” but I love the look. And the color.

So, you may notice that today’s outfit is similar to Tuesday’s – I really liked the combination of the skirt and draped shirt, so I wore my other Anthropologie skirt today with a Vince top, No6 Clogs and Alexander Wang bag. We had an ATX Ladies who Lunch lunch today and afterward walked over to my friend Megan Summerville’s lingerie pop-up shop (hence the lingerie mannequin behind me – and THANK YOU Sydney for getting me at such a flattering angle 
) for some frilly girl-stuff shopping – something that I do not do enough of.
A little about Megan: She was the winner of Texas’ next top designer 2009, and awarded the peer’s choice award for best designer during this year’s Austin Fashion Week. She’s also just amazing. Megan creates absolutely stunning pieces – like this bra (it was my favorite, but I’m not good with “pretty” bras, I tend to go for nude/boring):

The Alexander Wang darcy Hobo in black is the Daily Deal at Satine (marked down to $765) AND if you use code “grechens10″ you’ll save an additional 10% off, bringing the bag down to $688. I dare you to find a better deal anywhere else. I also can’t recommend this bag enough. I have the “luggage” version and have been wearing it all the time; it’s very easy to carry because of the thick shoulder strap, and although some may consider it to be a “heavy” bag, I hardly notice the weight because it’s so easy to carry.
Anyway, if you can, and you need the PERFECT black bag with a little edge, splurge on this one. You won’t be sorry
