25% off sale items at Madewell

Madewell’s offering 25% off sale items + free shipping on orders over $100 with code WHYNOT. I’m thinking of getting this sweatshirt/sweater:

so I can try and recreate this Lover look from La Garconne (with my T by Alexander Wang dress):

But I’m not sure. The Madewell top seems like it’s not cropped enough for my purposes. And it’s wool, so it’d be too uncomfortable for Summer. But it is $175 less than the Lover version. Has anyone seen any similar cropped gray short-sleeved sweatshirt tops anywhere?? The Lover one is perfect though, isn’t it.

I’ve been looking for a short sleeved sweatershirt type top too! So far no luck either! Too bad the Madewell one is wool–too hot for Texas!

grechen March 31, 2011 at 4:09 pm: thank you SO MUCH!! i was actually out to go to madewell and saw your comment. i tried on the sweatshirt in your link at the store, but it just didn’t work. it was too long and the neckline a little higher/tighter than i like. and the sleeve length was a little strange. but i really appreciate your suggestion!! i ended up getting a splendid 3/4 length sweatshirt at barney’s co-op. will try to post pics tomorrow
