I may have mentioned before, that my BAGGU bag is my absolute favorite re-usable bag. I bring it with me everywhere I go (even to Barney’s) and use it to carry everything. Since my friend Candice sent it to me a couple of years ago, I’ve not gone a day without it.
And now…my favorite clogs & my favorite re-usable bag are collaborating!!! Behold:

I am absolutely 100% getting the pink animal print, and maybe the constellation print too – and maybe another pair of peep toe clogs while I’m at it…
Visit this blog post for details on how to order.
We had an ATX Ladies who Lunch Lunch today, so I got a real-life action shot of my outfit today:

I’m wearing a denim dress from the Gap, belt from the Gap, and Sportmax clogs. As a side note, I think I need a more narrow belt – especially for this dress. Not a skinny belt, just maybe a 1″ wide belt – I think it would look better than this wide belt with this dress, and maybe some others that I have. I’m still not good with belts; even though I’m acquiring more (I have 3 now!!), I don’t always remember to wear them, and sometimes I put them on, and take them off again, thinking they’re too much for the outfit. That’s my problem with accessorizing, I don’t know where the balance is…
And can I just say that while the day started out very nice (in the low 60′s), it got up to 90 today. So I was HOT in this dress. Very hot indeed.
I do this every season: get excited about new stuff to buy and try to get everything I need (want) in one fell swoop. Which is what I’m doing now. I’m still obsessing over a tote, but there are also two more things I’d like to add to my wardrobe to round it out for Fall/Winter: a printed or floral silk dress & tailored blazer. I don’t have anything resembling those in my closet right now, and I know I need them. Who DOESN’T need a tailored blazer, and I’d love to have a silk, feminine dress to wear with my cream-colored leather jacket (love the juxtaposition of the two materials).
Specifically, I want this jacket by Ohne Titel (LOVE that it’s styled with a white tee & black jeans):

Realistically, I’ll probably end up with a blazer from J Crew or Theory, but a girl can dream no? It was love at first sight with the Ohne Titel, but it’s out of my price range…
And this dress from Anthropologie:

What are you still missing from your Fall wardrobe? Anything?

So, I decided after Friday’s “Fashion Show” post that I wasn’t going to post outfit pictures anymore – well, for a while anyway. As I’ve mentioned before, and you can probably tell, I gained a lot of weight when we moved to Austin. I didn’t realize it, but I was completely stressed out and in the beginning, we ate out a lot, and I baked a lot. In the beginning of September my fiance started going to Bikram (hot) yoga and convinced me to try also. Since then, I’ve been at least 4 days a week, most weeks 5 days and am starting to notice a difference in my body. I haven’t been back on the scale since I fluctuated 4 pounds within 24 hours a couple weeks ago (4 POUNDS!!!!), but I can fit into some of my clothes better, and I DEFINITELY feel better. And after I tried on some Joie pants at Barney’s Co-Op I NEVER would have fit into before, and they FIT, I started thinking this might be actually working…
Then, this morning, as I was browsing the Shopbop sale (new markdowns!!!) for a slouchy, black pair of pants, I remembered that I have a James Perse pair that I was really only able to wear once after I bought them. I tried them on, and voila! they fit. Mostly. I mean, they could be MORE slouchy, but at least I got them on
Wearing:
Vince top
James Perse pants
Repetto flats
Alexander Wang Donna Hobo
