I’m not really a big fan of the online sample sale sites; every time I’ve thought about purchasing anything, it’s sold out. And the whole “invitation only” and exclusivity thing kinda irks me. But enough about me…I’ve finally found a sample sale site I can get behind – courtesy of Clothes Pin; a blog I’ve been following for a couple of years.
She has a great selection of pieces from Mollie Dash, She-Bible, Amy Bengston, and eco-friendly designer Lara Miller. Some items are marked down up to 80% off!
Check it out…
I’m about to faint from the cuteness of Etsy seller KUSS. Her nature-inspired jewelry is right up my alley, and even better – it’s affordable and handmade! Since I first visited her shop, a lot of things have disappeared, but my favorites are still there…

This week only, take 30% off at Fashion Ethic with code “Grechen30.” This is great timing if it’s getting cooler where you are, they’ve just added some fabulous organic fleece/wool jackets & coats in addition to organic cotton basics (and dresses!!) by SPUN.
I’m back!!! I know, it’s been FOREVER since I posted a review, and I apologize. Things have been insanely busy around here, and honestly, I didn’t really get anything in that was worth of review until now. (Be sure to scroll down after you read this review for two more….)
Remember the Jenny Yuen Gatsby bag I reviewed a year ago? I got another one a few days ago, and am truly in love. This time it’s the Hitchcock bag in “chestnut” – a new color for fall. It looks a bit smaller than the Gatsby, but I don’t think it is – at least in terms of what it can carry! Today, I toted my laptop and other essentials in it, and everything fit perfectly; I was even able to zip it up. The front and back pockets are incredibly useful. I put my phone in the front pocket, which can be fastened and still allow me to reach my phone. Inside, there are two pouch pockets and a zipper pocket to hold random pens and lipgloss. And the leather. To die for. Jenny uses leather that’s soft, but sturdy, and that keeps it’s shape. The leather is definitely substantial; I didn’t feel like I was putting stress on the bag carrying my laptop in it. On to the pictures…

Some random outfit pictures with different ways to carry the bag:

This is such a classy bag. I am an uber-casual chick, and I think it works for me, but I totally see this bag being worn with a sleek black pencil skirt and crisp white button down. And I don’t know if it’s the power of suggestion or what, but I always get a Tipi Hedren vibe when I look at the bag…
Through the end of the year, take 15% off your order at Jenny’s website with code grechenJY08.
