Mellow Yellow Cardigan by Zooey

by grechen on October 19, 2007 | SUBSCRIBE | TWITTER | FACEBOOK |

I love Zooey basics. I bought a henley style top by Zooey a couple of years ago; it’s worn out now, the hem started coming out at the bottom, but it’s still a decent layering top. I also have a fleece wrap jacket that is very nice. Anyway, I always look at James Perse, Splendid, and Zooey for basics and as I was browsing Revolve just now, this caught my eye (how could it not!):

I love it! The yellow is eye-popping, and would look great with dark denim. The problem with yellow is that I would never want to pair it with black…too bumblebee-ish. But this looks like a darker yellow, maybe it would work? Not with black bottoms, but maybe black accessories if necessary? Hmmm….

Martine Sitbon Heart Hobo

by grechen on October 17, 2007 | SUBSCRIBE | TWITTER | FACEBOOK |

So, when I mentioned my lust for the velvet “heart” hobo by Martine Sitbon when I introduced some of his Fall 2007 bags, you guys must have thought I was crazy. I couldn’t find a link, and my description was probably less than adequate. Anyway, no, I am not crazy, because here it is in a luxurious leather version!

Gorgeous, isn’t it? I found it at a new (to me anyway) online jewelry and handbags boutique: Muse Ten.

Matt & Nat Vegan Handbags

by grechen on October 9, 2007 | SUBSCRIBE | TWITTER | FACEBOOK |

Although I am not a vegan (anymore), I appreciate the efforts of those who are, and thank goodness they can now carry fashionable handbags. Matt & Natt have been around as vegan handbag designers for awhile, but this is the first season I’ve found something that I would buy! The Interpol tote is much more versatile than it looks – the straps are removable, and you can carry it as a clutch, or by the handles at the top of the bag. And the color is fabulous; great for Fall and beyond.

Pade Vavra Jewelry

October 9, 2007

I tend to gravitate towards understated & small jewelry – especially earrings. Honestly, I’m not very good at accessorizing, so I choose pieces that will go with everything, and that I can wear for days at a time. Right now, I alternate between my Alex Monroe Birdie earrings and Bing Bang skulls, but I’m looking [...]

More Caprice Bianca

October 9, 2007

I posted about Caprice Bianca bags several weeks ago because I was SO EXCITED about them. I still am, and it seems others are as well: (from the October 8th issue of Life & Style) Unfortunately, the purple clutch that Katherine McPhee’s carrying isn’t available at BlondeLA, but the red one is. And if you [...]

Bamboo & Cashmere, oh my!

October 3, 2007

It took me a while to adjust to the fact that you could buy a shirt made from bamboo, but once I tried on and felt for myself how soft and lightweight the material is, I was sold. And can I just say, how cute is the name “Panda Snack”? This is a new cashmere/bamboo [...]

New Casch Copenhagan (2007)

October 1, 2007

I thought it was time for an update on Casch Copenhagen’s Fall 2007 collection – my review of a Casch wool jacket last year still brings tons of hits from searches for “Casch” (it’s not easy to find online). I saw some of the new pieces at Anthropologie several weeks ago, they were lighter wool, [...]
